Wolvey Parish Council

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

It was with great sadness that Wolvey Parish Council learned of the death yesterday afternoon of HM Queen Elizabeth II.

Councillor Adrian Warwick, Chairman of Wolvey Parish Council, said: "Her Majesty was a true inspiration to the nation, a beacon of hope in the dark times and a focus of joy in times of celebration. Wolvey Parish Council sends deepest condolences to her family at this time of national mourning. Flags will be flown at the Village Hall at half mast for the period of mourning, raised only for the proclamation of HM King Charles III. Wolvey Church will arrange an area for floral tributes and quiet reflection. We thank both organisations for working with us at this time. God save the King."

The parish council has placed a book of condolence in Wolvey Stores (by kind permission of the owners) and invites members of the public to record their thoughts and tributes.
