The parish council has recently completed its programme of replacing all the old- style lanterns in all of its street lights with new greener energy efficient LED lanterns. The old-style lanterns are now obsolete and it would have been very difficult to source replacement parts.
Not only will the new energy efficient lanterns benefit the environment, but the parish council will also benefit from reduced electricity charges from its energy supplier.
